Pastor Gillespie & Family

Revival Tabernacle was established as a new church plant in 1976 in Castro Valley, California, affiliated with the United Pentecostal Church International (UPCI).

After many years of growth and renting various buildings, the congregation purchased a building in Niles, Fremont. Under Pastor Steven J. Kerr (beginning in 1984), the church grew with outreach ministries including ASL/Deaf, Van Transport, and a Spanish-speaking ministry, and the mortgage was retired in 2014. The church is now independent but remains part of a worldwide Apostolic Pentecostal fellowship.

Pastor Kerr retired in 2019. Brother J. Daniel Gillespie succeeded him, having pastored the Spanish-speaking congregation, “Iglesia de la Verdad.” Under his leadership new ministries have been added including VBS, Bible Quizzing, Spanish Interpretation, and Vintage Saints (55 & better).

Pastor and Sister Gillespie, along with their children William, Jackson, Elena, and Sofia, are committed to continuing the legacy of ministry begun here decades ago. You're invited to experience the Acts 2:38 promise at “Fremont's Family Friendly” church!
